RFGP HISTORY

The RFGP tradition was born on a cold, overcast Thanksgiving weekend in 1995, along the banks of the Arkansas River in Fort Smith, Arkansas. That first year, around 90 riders braved the chill to kick off what would become a beloved annual event. Through sleet, snow, rain, and even floods, RFGP has endured — growing into a cherished tradition for hundreds of families across multiple states.

No matter the forecast — sunny skies and perfect dirt or cold, wet, and muddy conditions — our goal remains the same: to make every RFGP rider and their family feel like part of ours. It’s a laid-back weekend of old-school racing and genuine family fun, where the memories matter more than the weather.

 2023, after 28 unforgettable years in Fort Smith, RFGP found a new home — and it’s even better than the original. RFGP 29 marked our debut at an exciting new location on the east side of Oklahoma City, nestled along the Oklahoma River.
